The EQ5 Synscan fills the gap between the NEQ3 and the H-EQ5 mounts, providing a cost effective Goto system for visual use. It has all the software features of the SynScan series in a more cost effective package.

It has a bit more stability and capacity than the NEQ3 but less than the HEQ5.

We therefore recommend it for customers who want a bit more stability than the NEQ3 delivers - say for visual use at high powers - but who don't require the photographic capabilities of the EQ5 or EQ6 Pro.

Please note: This mount is now supplied in white instead of black.
