The Telrad zero power illuminated Finder is an extremely popular optical reflex sight for telescopes and big binoculars. It doesn't magnify the image, instead it projects a red target onto the night sky as you see it. The target is adjustable in bightness and has concentric rings to help frame the object.

We think it's probably the most useful single accessory upgrade to any telescope for beginner or experienced obsvers alike.

Very much recommended for find objects quickly at low power, before changing to a higher powered eyepiece for more detail. The Telrad finder is useful for goto or manual telescope mounts, and any type of telescope and is used by novice and experienced observers alike. It's also great for large binoculars.

We also provide Telrad Finder Charts which contain star maps of showpiece objects, with the Telrad "Bullseye" Target superimposed on the sky - at exactly the same scale as you see it through the Telrad. This makes it very easy to find objects with any telescope. Further more, most planetarium software depicts a Telrad Finder target on the sky too - simulating the view through a Telrad.
