Altair 102 F6.5 Super ED Triplet APO v2.0

Suitable for wide to medium field imaging, or visual use, this quality APO refractor telescope offers unbeatable performance and features for the price. An air-spaced ED triplet APO lens in a collimatable cell gives a sharp, high resolution image with great colour correction and contrast due to the FPL-53 Extra low Dispersion lens element. The lens cell has multicoatings on all surfaces to increase light transmission.

This high contrast and great colour correction is delivered at a fast, imaging-friendly focal ratio in a short optical tube you can take anywhere - even on an airplane trip.

Because of it's F6.5 focal ratio, the Altair 102mm EDT is perfectly suitable for visual or imaging use, while still remaining compact enough for air transport. Whether it's Saturn's rings, cloud belts on Jupiter, or just a nice wide field view of deep sky targets like nebulae, star clusters or galaxies, this scope delivers the sharp, high contrast images you'd expect from a triplet APO.

Please note that the case is designed to protect the scope and is offered "free". If it arrives with knocks and dings then it's done it's job. If the telescope arrives with knocks and dings, that's another matter of course - and it's covered by warranty!
