Gives sharper star images for One Shot Colour or RGB mono imaging. Absolutely essential for all types of imaging in any situation including Deepsky CCD and DSLR imaging, Planetary Webcam imaging and Solar webcam or H-Alpha imaging. It reduces star bloating and results in a sharper focus because it blocks Ultra-Violet and IR light. When passing through a lens IV and IR light do not come to the same focus point that normal visual wavelengths do - and is what causes bloating of star images. This filter cuts out IV & IR light completely but allows the rest to pass through. It is parfocal with other Baader imaging filters because it is exactly the sme thickness. Therefore it serves as a perfect Luminance filter in a Baader L-RGB imaging filter set with no need to re-focus the image when swapping filters.
