iOptron Cube-PRO Portable GOTO Telescope Mount with GPS
The iOptron CubePro GoTo AltAzimuth Mount is the ideal airline-portable GOTO mount to go with your portable celestial or solar telescope. It will track and locate celestial objects in any part of the sky.
Featuring a more powerful computer controller, larger object database, metal worm gear, tapered bearings and a sturdier tripod, the Cube PRO is an enhanced version of the extremely popular Cube-G.
Because the telescope is on the outside of the mount, there are no “dead spots” – so you can point your telescope to ANYWHERE above the horizon, whereas, other mounts block the telescope tube at certain points of rotation. An optional DC adaptor is available so you can plug your telescope motor into your car's 12v supply via the lighter socket, if you’re camping or at any remote location.
The SmartStar computerized control system has a 130,000 object library, yet the easiest-to-use and most logical menu system on the market today. The adjustable brightness 8-line backlit LCD screen ensures the mount doesn't interfere with your night vision, yet can be used in the day for solar observing and tracking.
A 32 channel internal GPS, easy alignment procedure and accurate GoTo and auto-tracking minimize setup time.
A 1" stainless steel tripod legs with metal platform and metal hinges is included, which fits into the optional hard travel case along with the mount head. The compact design of the tripod and the mount makes it easy to carry anywhere.
The standard 48mm Vixen-Synta format dovetail clamp makes the Cube PRO mount compatible with many different optical tubes. We recommend 70-80mm doublet ED refractors, Maksutovs up to 100mm in aperture, or Solar telescopes.
CubePro is compatible with ASCOM compliant planetarium programs and many other programs such as Sky X, Starry Night and Voyager.
