Altair 50mm extension tube 2x thumbscrews

The Altair 50mm extension tube is precisely machined for a perfect fit.

 

Altair extension tubes have two thumbscrews making them ideal for astro-photography and heavy eyepieces or binoviewers. The accessory is clamped firmly from two angles, reducing flex in the optical train, unlike other extension tubes which have only one thumbscrew.

 

A brass inner compression ring prevents marring your eyepieces or accessories, and the extension tube based is threaded to accept standard 2" filters.

 

This extension tube adds 50mm additional backfocus between your telescope focuser and eyepiece or camera and fits 2" focusers.

 

Most refractor telescopes require the use of an extension tube for straight-through use with a camera when the diagonal is removed.
