Starlight Feathertouch 3" Focuser for Altair 115 APO

A Starlight Feathertouch deluxe focuser upgrade for the Altair 115-805 EDT APO. This is simply the best focuser we have been able to source for our high quality triplet APOs, and a work of art in it's own right.

 

This package includes a custom designed Starlight Feathertouch focuser rotator to fit the telescope. Simply screw on the rotator, connect the focuser, and you're ready to observe.

 

A separate rear end-cap adapter is available to directly screw the Altair Field Flattener into the focuser, and of course a visual 2" push-fit adapter is provided as standard, with 3x clamping screws to ensure a perfect grip on heavy accessories. (See associated products below).

 

The Starlight Feathertouch focuser is not only a joy to use manually! It can also be driven by super-accurate stepper motors, using our Altair-Rigel USB nStep motor focuser system and the Starlight Feathertouch adapter bracket. (See associated products below).

 

With the USB autofocuser, precise manual focusing can be achieved using the hand controller for high power planetary observation, or you can fully automate your focuser via a USB connection and a PC using popular astronomy focusing programs and ASCOM. The high resolution stepper motors are capable of procise control with fractions of a millimetre. A separate temperature compensation probe is available, to ensure focus is always perfectly maintaned, regardless of external temperature changes.
