Altair Universal Finder Mounting Shoe / Bracket

This is the same finder mounting shoe / bracket which comes with the Altair 60mm deluxe finder or Altair Miniguider 60. It's primarily intended for customers who have already got the Altair 60mm Deluxe Finder / Miniguider 60 system, but who want to use it on multiple telescopes quickly and easily, without having to swap the bracket.

 

The mounting shoe features 2x clamping screws for extra rigid hold, which is best for auto guiding and keeps alignment better then standard 1x clamping screw systems if the finder goes bump in the night. Made from black matte anodised machined aluminium.

 

The 4mm wide cross slotted bracket fits most telescopes, with hole orientations running perpendicular or parallel to the optical axis. Includes 2x M4 button head hex screws for attachment. The hex screws fit into the recessed slotted mounting holes and do not protrude so they do not foul the finder base.

 

Compatibility: Fits Altair Wave EDT 115 APO, Altair Wave 102 EDT APO, Starwave SW80ED, SW102ED and SW110ED 3" focusers. Also fits most GSO telescopes. GSO and Skywatcher finders will fit into this bracket, although the angle is slightly different and they have a tab at the end which shifts them slightly forward, in our opinion, they're still an upgrade from the standard bracket because of the double clamp screws.
