The Altair Astro Premium  7nm H-Alpha CCD 1.25" filter is designed for astro imaging with Mono CCD or CMOS cameras. 
 
(This filter is also available as part of an SOH set enabling cost savings compared to purchasing the filters separately).
 
Designed for monochrome imaging of nebulae and Ha regions in external galaxies. Eliminates light pollution by avoiding the light pollution wavelengths.
 
The 7nm FHWM yields higher contrast compared to 12nm FHWM filters. This allows better performance within heavily light-polluted urban areas, or for imaging faint objects. The emission lines of artificial lighting (mercury (Hg) and sodium (Na) as well as skyglow are completely suppressed, allowing for long exposures in urban conditions. 
 
Features precise and steep transmission curves with narrow pass-bands to ensure high image contrast. 
 
Aside from the high qualty Schott German glass and top quality coatings, these filters have some additional enhancements which make them ideal for your astro imaging application.
 
Advanced UV/IR blocking give small star sizes even with refractor optics, and AR (Anti Reflection) coatings reduce halo effects and internal reflections for more pleasing star images.
