Mounting bracket for GPCAM Camera and iPolar
Product information
Now you can mount your Altair GPCAM camera or iOptron iPolar on telescope tube rings, a dovetail bar, or even a photo tripod, with this CNC machined aluminium split clamp.
Other uses for this handy little bracket include mounting the GPCAM on a camera tripod to capture meteors with the GPCAM Meteor lens, or using the GPCAM as a Digital Finder Scope on your telescope.
To mount the iPolar an accessory collar is required. Just drop that into the clamp and you are ready to go. The iPolar mounting collar can be selected in the dropdown menu when ordering.
Photo tripod threads: The base of the clamp has a standard 1/4"-20 photo tripod thread and also on the front face, for attachment to a photo or video tripod, facing upwards to image the sky, or horizontally, so you can use your GPCAM for things like monitoring your 3D printer whilst you're out.
The outer flanges have two countersunk M6 (1.4") holes which allow attachment to Altair Losmandy-Style dovetail bars, or Altair refractor tube rings (60mm centre to centre hole separation). Most other refractors will also fit.
If you want to attach the clamp to an Altair or Starwave Vixen bar, fasten with a 1/4"-20 TPI screw into the centre threaded hole from underneath, or use a nut on the underside of the centre slot.
